It's ok to kill in the UK if your somebody.

Le digo yo

What can you say to a shocking, sickening and quite frankly disgusting story that appeared on the BBC News website tonight regarding a peer, Lord Ahmed that killed Martyn Gombar, 28, from Leigh, Greater Manchester, while texting on his mobile phone while driving at high speed on the country's main motorway (freeway). Click here to visit the BBC News website story

This murderer, yes, murderer is to be set free on a 12 months suspended sentence. I say murderer because this crime was premeditated and he knew the dangers of the actions he was taking. Lord Ahmed, of Rotherham, sent and received a series of five text messages while driving in the dark along a 17-mile stretch of the motorway (freeway). That is murder as certain as if he had slain the other person with any other weapon in my opinion.

While the court has said that Mr Gombar had crashed his car and Lord Ahmed would not have avoided hitting him, as someone who drives a lot I can say with certainty that even a second on the brake or a moment turning the steering wheel can have a massive change on the outcome of an accident. Texting, distracted and unaware of what was happening in front of him, Lord Ahmed was unable to take ANY evasive action at all.

It was shocking enough that this lunatic was only given 12 months for killing someone in this manner but to then have that 12 month sentence suspended is a travesty of justice. How must the family of the deceased feel right now?

I am so angry, no one, no one at all should get only 12 months for such a crime and to have that small punishment removed is beyond words themselves. What message does that send out?

Sometimes you just have to wonder why you bother getting up in the morning when things like this happen.

Crazy, Ludicrous and Criminal.
