The new Nano or as I call it the T-Car

Tata Nano

Have you seen the new Tata Nano? How do you say that by the way? Tah Tah or a very British Tah Tah!? LOL

Anyway in the UK and in many countries Tata are known for their brands of tea, mainly Tetley tea, hence why I branded the car with the new Tetley logo :-)

So I just don't know about these, $2,000 for a car, great deal or death trap?

At present I am not fortunate enough to be in employment so a cheap car would be a great thing but even at $2,000 its currently out of my budget but I am sure many people would benefit from this short hop car.

Of course if you regularly take longer or higher speed trips then your pretty much asking for trouble as I doubt this thing has much in the way of protection to make other cars, walls and people bounce off it rather than go straight through, you can always say hi as they hurtle past you! LOL

That said I doubt it does much over 50mph, which reminded me of a small Japanese van made by Subaru I used to drive which changed lanes when the wind blew, SERIOUSLY, It really did, frightening, ran on a motorcycle engine but was very economical as it only did 50mph with a wind behind you, winding down the windows and blowing hard to try and get some speed up, LOL!

So what do you thing, would you buy one, would you take one if you won it in a competition or just leave well alone? Leave me a comment, email or try my new voicemail line.

Got's me a voicemail line! Call me!

Hi fans,

I have me a new voicemail line, so why not leave me a message sometime!

Podcasts rule!

podcast_ctap_smalljpg

Since hanging up my headphones. Yes, I used to be a podcaster myself, I have become a huge fan of lots of other podcasts and now hardly watch any TV at all.

I wondered if you are the same? Do podcasts replace TV and radio for you or are they additional entertainment?

I have found so many wonderful podcasts, humour is my thing so anything that makes me laugh goes right to the top of the pile but I do like the odd bit of the serious stuff too.

My first podcast that I started listening to was Wanda Wisdom way back on her 3rd or 4th episode and I have listened to her ever since, I am a true fan of that crazy train wreck and love every second of her shows.

I am finding things I missed or passed up on right now and there are so many shows that I love that I am bound to insult someone if I mention them so just look into my fave podcast list on your left there and see which ones I am listening to.

I guess this was just a moment of thanks to you guys and gals that take the time out of your lives to share your humour, life stories or thoughts with us all, I am sure I am not alone when I say thank you so very much for your hard work and dedication, it really, really is appreciated.

The missing Doctor Who series

There is a great posting from Digital Spy on a missing, unrecorded and in some parts un-written Doctor Who series, take a look here:

The missing Doctor Who series

For some reason one of the episodes that tickles my fancy is where The Doctor visits Blackpool, Sonic Kiss Me Quick hat Doctor?

I loved Colin Baker as Doctor Who, he was simply years ahead of his time and that was why many did not like him, he was not sweet and sickly like they expected but had a hard, rough edge to him, just as the new Doctor's have in the new series.

The only thing I did not like, his coat, not from any design perspective but The Doctor was meant to, after regenerating, go into the Tardis' wardrobe, pick a new outfit that mirrored his new personality and emerge renewed. Well his new outfit had the same coat at the previous doctor but with coloured panels, so it would be highly unlikely this was just waiting to be worn and had to be made specially, i.e. I know this is fiction but the coat was a 'television' upgrade and didn't fit into the pre-existing storyline the audience knew and loved. It was however completely and utterly on the mark for the 80's.

Where did they get the idea for that coat? Volkswagen Harlequin perhaps?

AutoFill for iPod and iPhone/iPod Touch

iPod touch jailbreak 1.1.3

Here is a great article on how to enable and use the new AutoFill feature in iTunes 8.1 for iPod and iPhone/iPod Touch that was previously only available to Shuffle users.

It's a bit back to front but it's there and is actually very useful.

One of the things I missed about not storing my whole library on a huge hard drive based iPod was the discovery of great tracks I had forgotten.

My library stands at 54 days of music, so thats quite a few tracks and some seem to get forgotten, this brings them back to life and often drops in some great memories.

Gone Supernova

Anna Nicole Smith and Son Daniel

You know sometimes I am not the biggest fan of "gone wild" celebrities but there was one that for some reason touched me and I think that was because the real truth always seemed to seep out to show a real damaged soul.

That person was Anna Nicole Smith, she was in so many ways a damaged person who really needed love and probably more than a little guidance in life. She I think got neither.

So it was no surprise today to find that Howerd Stern whom the news media report as her boyfriend was implicated in her sad and tragic death from prescription drugs, allegedly prescribed to her fraudulently by doctors and Mr Stern.

I personally don't think of Mr Stern as her boyfriend but her drug dealer and I never warmed to him on her TV shows, there was just something that triggered the old spidey senses.

I hope those that contributed to her untimely death are brought to justice and that Anna and her son can rest in peace, she does at least deserve that.

Did you know Big Fatty is on a cruise?

This is your Captain speaking,

I've been loving the pics and updates from the BF over at the BFO (Big Fatty Online if you dont know)

If you have a spare minute head on over there:

http://bigfattyonline.com

That is the end of this ships announcement.

It's ok to kill in the UK if your somebody.

Le digo yo

What can you say to a shocking, sickening and quite frankly disgusting story that appeared on the BBC News website tonight regarding a peer, Lord Ahmed that killed Martyn Gombar, 28, from Leigh, Greater Manchester, while texting on his mobile phone while driving at high speed on the country's main motorway (freeway). Click here to visit the BBC News website story

This murderer, yes, murderer is to be set free on a 12 months suspended sentence. I say murderer because this crime was premeditated and he knew the dangers of the actions he was taking. Lord Ahmed, of Rotherham, sent and received a series of five text messages while driving in the dark along a 17-mile stretch of the motorway (freeway). That is murder as certain as if he had slain the other person with any other weapon in my opinion.

While the court has said that Mr Gombar had crashed his car and Lord Ahmed would not have avoided hitting him, as someone who drives a lot I can say with certainty that even a second on the brake or a moment turning the steering wheel can have a massive change on the outcome of an accident. Texting, distracted and unaware of what was happening in front of him, Lord Ahmed was unable to take ANY evasive action at all.

It was shocking enough that this lunatic was only given 12 months for killing someone in this manner but to then have that 12 month sentence suspended is a travesty of justice. How must the family of the deceased feel right now?

I am so angry, no one, no one at all should get only 12 months for such a crime and to have that small punishment removed is beyond words themselves. What message does that send out?

Sometimes you just have to wonder why you bother getting up in the morning when things like this happen.

Crazy, Ludicrous and Criminal.

Too good to be true for the man in the mirror?

This blog is all about me expressing myself and when I get a gut feeling I am going to share it with you all, and as I said in my last post I'd really like you to comment or email me with your thoughts too, that way I can reply and we can get a good conversation started between us all.

Right, onto my topic du jour!

There is a certain music artist that is booking a large concert venue here in the UK for an ever increasing number of performances, at present that number is up to 45 nights!

Now while I hope that every single last person goes, has fun and comes back with the best memories of these events my little voice inside my head ( I am thinking Auntie Vera Charles and her conscience here! ) is screaming out.

I hate to be a doubting Thomas but 45 days, really? And each and every one of those dates is going to be amazing and wonderful and a spectacle and you will hear all your favorite songs....hmmm

Here is what I really think, the first few shows will be massive, world class events and then it will start to go downhill. The shows will get shorter and shorter until near the end they last for maybe 30-45 mins and I suspect one or two will last even less time.

People are out there paying silly amounts to buy these tickets, up to £10,000 ($14,000) on eBay and it's not really them I feel sorry for. It is the small hard working fans that will buy these tickets, pay their travel costs, their hotel costs and make this an event to remember. It is for those I fear the worst.

Now I may be wrong and as I said at the start I hope I am but once these massive stars get the cheques and the big wheels are in motion there is not a lot the little guy can do.

I do sound defeatist today but then that is my opinion, so what do you think? Am I wrong? Or am I right?

Hit the comment button or fire me off an email.

(Archerr, this is a topic for the gangbang shows! no?)

Here is another hint:

UPDATED:

The total number of shows is now at the 50 mark as of March 12th. With now over 1 million seats sold. (That's a lot of iphone lighter falme apps!)

Chocolate Tax?!

]Delicious or Dangerous?

A doctor in Scotland wants to tax chocolate is he right or should we be more concerned with overall fat and sugar content?

"Dr David Walker, a GP in Lanarkshire, said many people eat their entire daily calorie requirement in chocolate, on top of their normal meals.
The doctor said chocolate used to be seen as a "treat" but had now become an harmful addiction for some."

Now while I am sure he is partially correct, I have often wondered if we really should tax food based on their fat and sugar content as that is what is putting the weight on.

It would be very difficult to make people exercise unless we employed a nation full of fat cops to whip us into a frenzy ( Now Big Fatty it's only an idea, don't get too excited just yet!) but it would be relatively easy to come up with fat and sugar taxes in a similar way to alcohol taxes.

This should make high fat, high sugar foods less attractive especially to lower income households, we would of course need to not spend that lovely money on paying back our bailout plans but to reduce the price of good foods such as vegetables in the uk that could be done by employing a negative VAT (Value Added Tax) rate.

What are your thoughs? Do we just let people do as they wish and more than likely watch our future generations suffer the effects of obesity as our generation is suffering or do we try and do something positive? Or do you think future generations having seen the problems will solve this for themselves?

Leave me a comment and let us all know! Love to know your views.
